2022 EDITION

From September 22-24, 2022, attendees were treated to a curated selection of talks and discussions addressing the pivotal challenges facing the financial realm. Reflecting on the uncertainties of our personal and professional landscapes, the theme of last year’s conference centered on the financial market’s adaptation amidst war conflicts, surging inflation, and the persisting pandemic. For the second consecutive year, the esteemed Warszawianka Hotel’s conference center, nestled by the scenic Zegrzyński Reservoir, played host to this crucial dialogue.

2021 EDITION

The 10th edition of the CFA Society Poland Annual Conference was realized just after the vacations, during the loosening of the epidemic policy in Poland. As a result, the conference was realized in a hybrid format, and stationary was attended by nearly 150 professionals. The online broadcast of Day 2 of the event was watched by nearly a thousand participants. A world-renowned lecturer and expert in the field of valuation, corporate finance and investment management – Prof. Aswath Damodaran, who conducted his workshop remotely from California – was invited to deliver one of them. The main theme of the conference was “Improving investment decisions.”

2020 EDITION

The 2020 CFA Society Poland Annual Conference, held October 21-23, was mainly a series of lectures, panel discussions and workshops that allowed participants to better understand the business reality around them. The 2020 CFA Society Poland Annual Conference, in addition to a closed workshop section dedicated only to CFA Society Poland members, also had an open section for all financial professionals, which took place on October 23, 2020. The conference section was inaugurated by Gary Baker, CFA, former Managing Director for the EMEA market at CFA Institute. The workshops, on the other hand, were led by Sri Krishnamurthy, CFA, CAP, and Meirav Harel. The event was held in conjunction with the Pandemic completely online.

CFA Society Poland Annual Conference

2019 EDITION

On October 11, 2019, the largest annual meeting of the CFA community in Poland took place, this time under title Annual Seminar 2019 (name changed for the purpose of this event). Representatives of the financial and investment industry, together with invited guests, met at the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE/GPW). The program was oriented towards the future of the sector, which was brilliantly introduced by the first two speeches: by prof. Eugene Gatnarem of the Monetary Policy Council entitled “What awaits on the other side of zero?” and the Fitch Ratings forecast for Poland and the region presented by Arvind Ramakrishnan. Afterwards, Ignacy Morawski of SpotData presented a joint report by his think tank and CFA Society Poland on the future of the financial sector “Evolutions and Revolutions”. During the program’s climax, under the guidance of John Hulsman, CFA Society Poland members and invited guests took part in a geopolitical game on the rising power of China and US politics.
